Why small text does not work in some apps
Understand missing glyphs, character restrictions and incomplete Unicode alphabets, and learn what to try instead.
An unchanged letter is not a loading error
This tool substitutes a chosen set of Unicode characters. Some alphabets are incomplete: subscript maps only 17 Latin letters, and our small-cap set leaves x as typed. The coverage notice tells you exactly what stayed original.
A box usually means a missing glyph
An app can receive a valid Unicode character without having a font that can draw it. The result may be a square box, a blank space or a fallback shape. Try ordinary text; the generator cannot install a font on the receiving device.
A rejected name is a different problem
Some fields intentionally restrict character sets. Discord’s unique username, for example, accepts lowercase Latin letters, digits, underscores and periods. Use a permitted display-name field or ordinary text. Do not use lookalikes to evade validation.
